A developer is looking to transform the Mesa Gateway area with a proposed mixed-use development featuring more than 1 million square feet of office, restaurant, retail, hotel and residential space.
Phoenix-based VIVO Partners bought the vacant land near the southeast corner of Loop 202 and Power Road for $14.1 million at a state land auction last year and has been engaged in discussions with Mesa leaders and the community about what would fit best in that area, according to Jose Pombo, development partner at VIVO.
Gallery Park, the planned mixed-use development was the result. At full build out, it will include approximately 400,000 square feet of Class A office space, two hotels, 420 luxury apartment units and condos situated above restaurant and retail space, as well as a possible movie theater and other entertainment options. VIVO Partners expects the development to be home to more than 3,000 employees and residents when finished.
