Peoria’s P83 — the stretch of 83rd Avenue dotted with restaurants, sports and entertainment — saw improvements and new business openings in 2018, but some anticipated upgrades remain vacant lots and empty buildings.
And then there’s a court battle.
Court battle over Salty Senorita
Salty Senorita occupies a prime corner in P83, but dead, withering plants outside the vacant restaurant and bar stand in contrast to manicured practice fields at Peoria’s spring-training complex next door.
The city owns the corner lot at 80th Avenue and Paradise Lane and sued in Maricopa County Superior Court last spring seeking ownership of the vacant restaurant on the site.
