Pinal board hears revenues rising with economy

Pinal’s booming economy has resulted in increased revenues for county coffers.

That’s the message the Pinal County Board of Supervisors heard at a meeting Wednesday, when members received an update on this fiscal year’s budget and got a preliminary look at next year’s.

“Revenues are substantially up,” said County Manager Greg Stanley.

Leo Lew, assistant county manager, said the board will need to prioritize what to do with excess revenues the county will have and determine whether it’s most prudent to use the money on one-time expenses or to put money aside in case of a future downturn.
