Tolleson looks forward at 90-year celebration

A planned multigenerational parks and recreation facility, equipped with a library, as well as a host of new construction projects like Fairfield Inn were among the topics addressed by Tolleson Mayor Anna Tovar at her recent State of the City Address.

Elected officials, local organizations, community members and even a mariachi band gathered at Tolleson Veterans Park to hear from Tovar March 29.

In honor of Tolleson’s 90th anniversary, Tovar, alongside city council, opened her address by commemorating those who built and contributed to the progress of the city in its early years.
