The city of Scottsdale is looking to simplify how to discern its zoning and land use regulations.
City planners are proposing the changes which seek to boil down permitted land uses within various zoning districts into one easier to use matrix.
The current system has individual and lengthy lists of permitted uses for each of Scottsdale’s 15 zoning categories districts. The proposal would convey those uses in an easier to navigate 6-page matrix.
Scottsdale’s Planning & Development Services department backs the simplification.
The city will hold two open houses this month to inform residents and businesses about the proposed changes.
The first will be Wednesday, May 15 at the Scottsdale Civic Center (7447 East Indian School Road). The second public meeting will be at the Via Linda Senior Center (10440 East Via Linda). Both start at 5:30 p.m.
