Disclosure: Rose Law Group represents Microsoft

El Mirage Mayor Alexis Hermosillo hopes Microsoft planned data center is just the beginning of more technology and industrial projects landing in the West Valley city.
Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is locating a 240,000 square foot data center in El Mirage on 150 acres. Microsoft paid more than $20 million for the land
Hermosillo said El Mirage has additional land to accommodate more commercial, industrial and high-tech developments.
She said many of those opportunities are CenterPoint industrial park owned in El Mirage by John F. Long Properties.
Hermosillo there are new manufacturing and industrial users also locating in El Mirage. The Microsoft project is the first data center in El Mirage.

“There are opportunities,” Hermosillo said after announcement of the Microsoft data centers by Gov. Doug Ducey, Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord and company executives.
Microsoft is also landing two data centers in Goodyear.
