Goodyear is set to break ground in October on its first-ever recreation campus as metro Phoenix’s west side continues to expand.

The campus, which will sit on an 86-acre site between Goodyear Boulevard and Harrison Street just west of Estrella Parkway, will include a 48,000-square-foot indoor recreation center, an aquatics facility and a 30-acre outdoor park.

It’s scheduled to break ground Oct. 1 and is slated to open in about 18 months.
