Lego-like house west of Phoenix now finished

A Lego-like house that generated plenty of curiosity seekers when construction began last fall, now resembles others in the upscale West Valley neighborhood.

Gary and Rod Fetters, who own a custom home construction company, are behind the home. The brothers specialize in ICF or insulating concrete forms, which are hollow foam blocks that can be stacked, reinforced with rebar and filled with concrete to form walls.

The Fetters built the 3,600-square-foot house on spec and generated buzz as they built the exterior of the house in one day using ICFs. The blocks were painted in the Lego color scheme.
