Great Wolf Lodge delays opening

The highly anticipated opening of Great Wolf Lodge Arizona has been delayed.

The $100 million project, which includes a large indoor waterpark, twice moved up its opening date. Now, less than a week away from its scheduled Sept. 18 grand opening, the Chicago-based company has put the brakes on those plans.

Initially the company planned to open in mid-October, but in June it moved up the opening to Sept. 27. At the end of August, Great Wolf Lodge Arizona management announced it was moving up its opening date to Sept. 18 and started taking reservations for the two weeks it had not originally expected to be open.
