The Gilbert Town Council is scheduled to vote Thursday on allowing rooftop signs in the Heritage District restaurant area.
The Town Council will consider changing the Land Development Code to allow for rooftop signs in the Heritage area.
The aim is to have signs that promote the popular restaurant and bar area that includes Culinary Dropout, Snooze, Liberty Market, Barrio Queen, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, OHSO Brewery and other popular eateries.
Gilbert’s restaurant area has become very popular and has the city has also leverage its popularity with its economic development and site selection efforts.
The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce supports allowing the new roof signs.
