New behavioral health facility to built on Salt River

HonorHealth and Universal Health Services Inc. (NYSE: UHS) are building a new 120-bed behavioral health facility on the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community.

The 73,000-square-foot center will be located at 9160 East Horseshoe Road on Salt River land east of Scottsdale. Construction will start in January and with a 2021 opening scheduled.

UHS will be the majority owner of the new center and will oversee its operations.

The center will have programs for substance abuse and other behavior health services and programs including for teens and older adults.
