Plans for infill townhouses move forward next to Mesa Temple

Plans to redevelop land by Mesa Arizona Temple are moving forward in the East Valley.

The Mesa Planning Commission approved plans forwarded by Suburban Land Reserve Inc.  to allow for 22 townhouse and six ‘cottage houses’ on 2.25 acres at Mesa Drive and Main Street.

Suburban Land Reserve is a real estate arm of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The church is also building a new apartment complex at Mesa and Main across from the Metro light rail station.

The Mormon Temple is in Mesa is also going through an extensive renovation.
