Peoria’s new neighborhood coming soon

With more than 500 homes planned, the corner of 83rd and Olive avenues is about to go from undeveloped land to Peoria’s newest neighborhood.

Hancock Communities received approval on plans for 188 units on 18 acres of the northwest corner.

Peoria City Council recently green-lighted a gated development nearly twice that big on the other side of the street.

On Oct. 15, council approved rezoning of Olive Crossroads Planned Area Development (PAD) to the Villages at Pioneer Park PAD.
