Isleta Resort & Casino’s big bet on sports gambling in New Mexico has come to fruition.
After initially offering sports betting to customers in August at a temporary location on the casino floor, Isleta opened its full-time sports betting facility, built by Glendale general contractor Nez FCI, on Nov. 4. The facility features a bar, 50 televisions with a lounge area, four betting kiosks and quick access to the food court.
“We’re excited to unveil the best sports betting facility in the state of New Mexico, complete with a full-service bar, exciting viewing area and the all-new Isleta Food Court next door,” said Isleta Resort & Casino CEO Harold Baugus in a statement. Albuquerque-based Buffalo Design was the architect on the project.
Isleta will use Las Vegas, Nevada-based USBookmaking to run its sports betting. Earlier this year, Business First reported Isleta added California-based Fatburger to its food court, which opened this summer, part of the casino’s $40 million renovation that launched in 2017.
