Tony Valdovinos is the 29-year-old founder of La Machine Field Operations, a Phoenix-based political consulting firm specialzing in helping Democrats with their political ground games.

Valdovinos is also the true story inspiration for a new musical called Americano! debuting in January at The Phoenix Theatre Company.

Valdovinos is a Dreamer. His parents brought him to the U.S. from Mexico when he was 2-years old. Valdovinos learned of his status when he tried to enlist in the U.S. Marines on his 18th birthday after graduating from Camelback High School.

Americano! looks at Tony’s story and what it means to be a Dreamer and an American.

Valdovinos is profiled in this week’s edition of the Arizona Capitol Times.

Americano! will run January 29 to February 23 and is a centerpiece of The Phoenix Theatre Company’s 100th Anniversary season. Americano! is being produced by The Phoenix Theatre Company, Tony Award winning Executive Producer Ken Davenport and Scottsdale-based Quixote Productions (which is owned by public relations executive Jason Rose).

Americano! — which is poised to be one of the most impactful American theatrical productions of 2020 — has also launched new electronic billboards in New York’s Times Square. The billboards are posted on Nasdaq and Thomson Reuters signs in Times Square. Those signs are owned by Branded Cities.
