Regional News: Advocates petition to allow medical cannabis to be administered to animals

Medical cannabis activists are petitioning to allow medical cannabis to be administered to animals that experience seizures.

Medical cannabis patient and advocate Jason Barker said he has been giving small doses of medical cannabis to his 5-year-old dog Tecumseh to treat his epilepsy.

Now Barker said Tecumseh’s seizures have all but stopped.

The only reason this is possible, Barker said, is because he is a medical cannabis patient himself.
