The Phoenix City Council will soon consider approving a development deal to bring a $21 million, 140-room new hotel to the southwest corner of Second and Jackson Streets in downtown Phoenix.
Oklahoma-based NIXDT Development / Anish Hotel Group wants to bring the 6-story hotel to the Fuller Paint Warehouse property. Plans call for the historic building on that to be renovated and restored.
Anish Hotel group has developed and managed 15 hotel properties mostly in Oklahoma and Missouri.
The council will also consider approving a GPLET tax deal with the developer for the project. The hotel project will create 300 construction jobs and 30 permanent jobs, according to city documents.
