Prominent developer looks to rehab Scottsdale Road building

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

Clayton Companies — which owns a number of prominent properties and venues in Scottsdale — has submitted plans to renovate a commercial building it owns on Scottsdale Road.

Clayton is branding the building at 2115 N. Scottsdale Road (near Oak Street) as the Clayton Design Center.

Site plans filed with the city of Scottsdale renovate and remodel the 18,886-square-foot building and improve its architecture. The changes include tearing down part of the existing building and expanding and upgrading other areas of the property. The aim is to upgrade the design quality of the property and to attract a single of multiple commercial tenants for the property.

Several other Scottsdale properties are being looked at for redevelopment or improvements.

Scottsdale-based Clayton owns several other building and events venues in Old Town and other parts of the city.
