Glendale moves forward on annexations

Glendale City Council took the next step toward annexing three properties totaling 405 acres in its meeting Tuesday night.

The Council unanimously approved pre-annexation agreements for three properties currently under county control near Loop 303. The agreements do not commit City Council to approve these annexations but pave the way for it to do so.

“The purpose of the pre-annexation development agreement is to allow the property owner to address infrastructure needs prior to annexation into the city,” said Glendale’s Interim Development Services Director Lisa Collins.
