Johnson Utilities directed to begin Pecan Water Reclamation Plant expansion

Johnson Utilities LLC is to begin work on the Pecan Water Reclamation Facility phase 4 expansion and influent pump station and headworks replacement projects, the Arizona Corporation Commission has decided.

Pecan Water Reclamation Plant phase 4 is to cost approximately $18 million and will expand the capacity at the plant from 3.0 million gallons per day to 4.0 million gallons per day, according to a release.

Based on the commissioners’ vote, the project will proceed without further delay and the company’s interim manager, EPCOR, has been directed to immediately commence construction. The project is expected to take approximately 12 months to complete, the release states.
