The city of Tempe is looking to add bike lanes, widen sidewalks and install more pedestrian signals along a portion of Scottsdale Road.
The Tempe City Council will look at bicycle and pedestrian improvements between Curry Road and Continental Drive.
The city is considering a $47,556 outlay for the project to go along with a $290,444 grant from the Federal Highway Administration. The item is on the Tempe Council’s Thursday’s agenda.
The area slated for the improvements is north of the Salt River and is seeing some new developments and renovations of existing properties.
