Investor group looks to develop former Phoenix golf course

For nearly four years, the Club West Golf Course in Ahwatukee has been abandoned, but now an investor group is trying to win over the community on an idea to turn the land into homes and a park.

In fall 2019, the investor group calling itself the Edge, expressed interest in purchasing the land, renovating the golf course into a shorter course and turning the remainder of the land into homes. That plan was met with some pushback from the community and its homeowners association.
