New Health Safety Procedures Pave the Way For Arizona Gym To Re-Open

HealthyVerify Certification Allowed AZ On The Rocks To Open Under Protocols That Were Already In Place
(SCOTTSDALE) AZ On The Rocks has been allowed to re-open under Arizona’s new emergency measures to combat COVID-19.

The rock climbing gym had a leg up on the process thanks to HealthyVerify Certification.

AZ On The Rocks presented the state with its COVID-19 response procedures including its procedures developed by HealthyVerify Certification and the State of Arizona proclaimed that AZ On The Rocks is ready to reopen. HVC is the only independent medically based, scientific, and professional certification company in the country helping reduce the risk of COVID-19. The company helps its clients go above and beyond CDC and other guidelines and recommendations for curbing the spread of COVID-19.

Because of the HVC protocols AZ On The Rocks implemented in May, it did not have to make any changes. “AZ on the Rocks is committed to creating a safe environment for our employees and our customers and with HealthyVerify’s help we demonstrated our commitment to health and safety to the state of Arizona,” said Kevin J. Berk, owner of AZ On The Rocks.  “We are grateful we chose HealthyVerify and that its work has helped us be one of the first gyms in Arizona to reopen and the only gym to reopen without having to modify the procedures it put in place prior to the shutdown.”

On August 18, the Arizona Department of Health Services approved AZ On The Rocks’ application making the Scottsdale gym one of the first to re-open in Arizona.

The AZ DHS letter reads in part:

“Your application provided proof that your business has taken or will take such extra steps, beyond those required in the Guidelines and Benchmarks for counties whose community transmission metrics are in the moderate category.”

The HVC protocols for AZ On The Rocks include frequent air filter changes, temperature checks, frequent equipment cleaning, specialized scheduling, among other measures.

HealthyVerify partners with infectious disease experts from the Barrow Neurological Institute and researchers at Arizona State University to reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases including COVID-19.

In addition to AZ On The Rocks, HealthyVerify has certified dozens of businesses, non-profits, and schools across the country. HealthyVerify certified organizations include, Offerpad, Avondale Elementary School District, the Phoenix Rising Football Club, Fowler Elementary School District, the City of Goodyear Parks Department, the spring training home of the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds, and many more.
