Goodyear to consider Paseo Place 2 recommendation

The Goodyear City Council will consider a Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation next week to rezone 80.35 acres that would pave the way for the Paseo Place 2 community.

The rezoning of the southeast corner of Yuma Road and 183 Avenue from single family R-6 to higher-density R-4 will be on the agenda when Council meets in regular virtual session at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24.

The land was annexed into the city in 2006 and designated as Paseo Ridge. Planning commissioners voted unanimously Aug. 13 to recommend Council approve Phoenix-based builder Melcor’s rezoning request and preliminary plat for the community.
