The Creo School in Gilbert reopened last Monday with both in-person and online classes.

The Montessori school serves student ranging from toddlers to 9th grade. Creo also has online instruction for grades K-6.

Jill Rovira, head of school at Creo, said HealthyVerify Certification helped the East Valley school develop and put in place best practices to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Scottsdale-based HealthyVerify is the only independent medically based, scientific, and professional certification company in the country helping reduce the risk of COVID-19.

HealthyVerify (HVC) helps schools, workplaces, sports teams, and businesses go above and beyond U.S. Centers for Disease Control other guidelines for curbing COVID.

Rovira said one of the primary focuses for Creo is to teach students about COVID-19 and empower them to help curtail the virus’ spread.

“Each child has their own space with all of their own materials to work with. Each child has also been given a lesson on how to properly clean a material they have used to prepare it for the next child. The children in Montessori are very aware of their classroom community and why we are taking these extra steps in cleaning and wearing masks to stay healthy and safe,” Rovira said.

HealthyVerify Certification works with infectious disease experts from the Barrow Neurological Institute and researchers at Arizona State University to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.

Rovira said HealthyVerify has helped her school build confidence in its COVID-related efforts.

“Healthy Verify has helped us in the process to be sure all of our policies and processes align with the safest, most up to date, state standard. It is imperative that we do everything we can to provide our entire community with a safe environment. Healthy Verify has helped us do that,” Rovira said. “I feel confident knowing that everything has been reviewed by several HealthyVerify staff including doctors. It’s peace of mind.”

HealthyVerify has also helped Mountainside Fitness, the City of Goodyear, national real estate firm Offerpad, Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona as well as numerous school districts, charter, and private schools with their health safety and reopening efforts.
