Sen. Martha McSally said no one should “attack” Cindy McCain, the widow of the late Sen. John McCain, over her endorsement of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden — and that includes President Donald Trump.
On Fox News Radio’s “The Guy Benson Show,” McSally, R-Ariz., said Wednesday she respects Cindy McCain, who is a Republican, defending her while also supporting the president.
“I’ve got the upmost respect for Cindy McCain, and she’s had a four-decade relationship with Joe Biden,” McSally said. “Her decision to make her voice heard in this election I totally respect. Now we just disagree on the best choice to move the country forward. But I also want to be clear: Nobody should be attacking Cindy McCain for her right in exercising her right to make her voice heard.”
