Mason-Parker to team up in run for Corporation Commission

ACCFormer Rep. Lucy Mason announced in Prescott Tuesday she and former Paradise Valley Councilman Vernon Parker will run together in bids for the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC).

The announcement ends questions as to whether Parker would challenge Congresswoman Krysten Sinema in CD9, to whom he lost in 2012.

A source close to Parker told the Yellow Sheet Parker had raised just over $400,000 for a CD 9 race. The money may not be transferred to a race for the ACC.

Mason has always been active in water and other ACC-related issues. She made the announcement at a Prescott Republican woman’s gathering.
