Casa GrandeIf you like sports bars, this is a good time to live in Casa Grande. Two new ones are opening just a few days apart, and both are good-sized restaurants with all the amenities you’d expect in a sports bar — walls covered with TVs, an assortment of burgers, sandwiches, wings, salads and the like, along with all your favorite cold beverages.

The two businesses won’t be mirror images of each other, however. Native New Yorker, which is scheduled to open Monday after a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting, will be in the former Barney’s building at 665 N. Pinal Ave., across from Holiday Inn at the Five Points intersection. Part of a Phoenix-based chain which also has a location in Maricopa, Native New Yorker is more of a traditional sports bar.
