Goodyear mayor testifies in trade hearing on Chinese solar panel tariffs

In support of the region’s solar and renewable energy industry and the more than 9,000 related jobs in Arizona, Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord, testified against proposed tariffs on Chinese-manufactured photovoltaic cells and modules at the final hearing of the International Trade Commission on Wednesday, October 3.

She was the only U.S. elected official to testify and proudly represented her city and our region and state.  Her testimony made international news, appearing on Yahoo! Finance, CBS MoneyWatch, Arizona Daily Star, and led to an exclusive interviews with China National Radio and Biz Asia television news.
