Olympic wrestling gold medalist Henry Cejudo recently examined the nooks and crannies of a Glendale home at the suggestion of his Realtor.
This has become commonplace for the Valley athlete turned housing investor, who currently owns about 14 properties, mostly in Glendale.
The median home value in the city rose 33 percent to nearly $123,000 from July 2011 to July 2012 as lower housing inventory met increased market competition.
“It’s a game and the highest and fastest bid normally wins,” Cejudo explained. “Real estate is America’s cup of coffee right now and this is the time to buy.”
