Chandler picks Price Road Corridor consultant

Phoenix Data Center- 2121 S Price RoadChandler has chosen The Maguire Company to help it determine a course for development of its Price Road Corridor.

The Phoenix-based consulting firm has begun preliminary meetings with the City Council and staff this week, although the scope and cost of the contract have not been finalized, city spokeswoman Nachie Marquez said Wednesday.

The mayor and City Council in November recommended finding a consultant to study similar technology-focused employment corridors and recommend a development plan.

For at least 20 years, the city has primarily reserved the area for “large, single-user campus employment,” as stated in its development policy. Recently city leadership has questioned whether that policy should be more flexible to allow smaller companies to set up in the area.
