Senate Democrats introduced a bill Wednesday that would end billions of dollars worth of tax incentives for the oil-and-gas industry, Reuters reports.

The Associated Press reports that the North Dakota Senate rejected a bill that would have tightened rules on natural gas flaring, a process in which oil companies burn off excess natural gas produced at wells.
