Paradise Valley inks deal ensuring Mountain Shadows revitalization

After more than a year of discussion, debate and at times contentious disagreement, the saga known as the revitalization of Mountain Shadows Golf Resort has finally come to an end.

Paradise Valley Town Council has unanimously approved a special-use permit — along with four other development documents pursued by Crown Realty & Development — and given developers the green light to begin restoring a Paradise Valley landmark that has sat empty for more than a decade.

The unanimous votes came Thursday, April 18 at Town Hall, 6401 E. Lincoln Drive.

The resort property, at 56th Street and Lincoln Drive, has been vacant since September 2004, but has remained the centerpiece to an affluent subdivision known as Mountain Shadows east and west, which contains just under 120 homes.
