Napolitano named among Forbes’ most powerful women in the world

Former Arizona Governor and current Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano has been named by Forbes magazine as the eighth most powerful women in the world.

Napolitano was Arizona governor from 2003 through early 2009, when she was then appointed by Barack Obama to head the Homeland Security department.

Also earning top spots on the list was First Lady Michelle Obama at No. 4, Hillary Clinton at No. 5, Nancy Pelosi at No. 22 and Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer at No. 32.
