After nearly a decade of blighted property and stalled revenue streams regarding the Mountain Shadows resort, developers are closer than ever to resurrecting the property in Paradise Valley.
And if they complete the project, business experts say the town and the Northeast Valley stand to benefit financially.
Officials estimate one-time revenues to Paradise Valley of about $2.1 million — about $700,000 from total permit fees and about $1.4 million from construction sales taxes.
Officials said fees would vary based on the final square footage of the project and the value of buildings that are constructed. A boutique resort hotel of at least 100 rooms is proposed.
