Two apartment complexes near ASU sold for $5.6 million

Two more apartment complexes near Arizona State University in Tempe have been purchased for a combined $5.58 million, with the goal of transforming them into high-density student housing.

Colliers International brokered the deal between buyers Jay Chernikoff and Michael Christiansen of Renue on Orange, LLC and seller Steve Heimler of California. Renue on Orange plans to take the two apartments and renovate them into student housing, said Trevor Koskovich of Colliers International.

Campus Walk and Campus View Apartments are located just east of Terrace Road on Orange Street. The two complexes, both built in 1968, sport two swimming pools, laundry facilities as well as covered and uncovered parking. New owner Jay Chernikoff said that while they are just across the street from each other, Campus Walk and Campus View will remain separate complexes, but run by the same company.
