The Yellow Sheet Report says tonight Wil Cardon “is almost certain” to run for secretary or state. The publication says it was told by a source Cardon, former Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, will open an exploratory committee within  a couple of weeks.

A poll of likely Republican voters conducted in May showed an early lead for Cardon.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Business Journal Wednesday reported Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane might run for secretary of state if Arizona Treasurer Doug Ducey decides to run for governor. Both are Republicans.
