Duensing to follow Fischer to Glendale — Congrats

Brenda Fischer, former city manager in Maricopa, has hired assistant city manager Tom Duensing to join her team in Glendale.

Fischer was hired by Glendale to be its city manager in July; she worked with Duensing in Maricopa when he was the finance director and promoted him to assistant city manager shortly before she left.

Duensing is a CPA with more than 20 years of experience in government finance. He worked for the City of Tempe for 16 years – as auditor, deputy financial services manager and accounting supervisor – before coming to Maricopa.
