Glendale’s former assistant city manager Horatio Skeete withdrew his request to appeal his termination on Wednesday, saying he would not have received a fair hearing from the city’s personnel review board.
The public hearing, which had been scheduled for weeks, was set for Wednesday evening. New City Manager Brenda Fischer fired Skeete for his role in developing and administering a flawed early retirement program.
Skeete and his attorney Donald Peder Johnsen told The Arizona Republic that Skeete will consider other legal processes available to him, including a possible lawsuit.
