A long-dormant development near Chandler Fashion Center is moving forward again.

The Met at Fashion Center, proposed for 12 acres at the southeastern corner of Chandler Boulevard and Hearthstone Way, received support from Chandler’s Planning and Zoning Commission on Oct. 16.

The proposal calls for about 300 apartment units on about 7 acres on the southern portion of the property.

The residential design calls for buildings as tall as four stories in a gated community. The proposal includes one- and two-bedroom units of 668 to 1,140 square feet.
