TriGate Capital LLC adds to Valley retail holdings…pays $23.5 million for Goodyear Center

Goodyear – A company formed by TriGate Capital LLC in Dallas, Tex. (Jay Henry, managing member) paid $23.5 million to buy 202,196 sq. ft. of retail space and land for another 300,000 sq. ft. of stores within the Canyon Trails community in Goodyear. The property, called Canyon Trails Towne Center, is located at the northeast corner of Yuma Road and Cotton Lane. The seller in the cash sale was Vestar/EQY Canyon Trails LLC. That company was formed by Vestar Development in Phoenix (Rick Kuhle, pres.) and Equity One Inc. in New York City, NY. (NYSE:EQY, Thomas Caputo, pres.). The deal was brokered by Ryan Schubert and Michael Hackett of Cassidy Turley in Phoenix. The retail space, which is 62 percent occupied, is in the shadows of a super Target store that is owned separately. Continue reading
