Arizona launches new statewide energy plan

Gov. Jan Brewer has approved an Arizona master energy plan designed to address the state’s energy consumption and look ahead to future challenges.

After a collaboration more than a year in the making, Gov. Jan Brewer approved the plan Tuesday via executive order. It’s designed to be a working document of sorts that will be continually updated.

Entitled “emPower Arizona: Executive Energy Assessment and Pathways,” the 128-page plan was culled from the governor’s Master Energy Plan Task Force formed last year. See the full report here.
