EPCOR seeks 17% uptick to Paradise Valley water rates

If the water company gets its way, Paradise Valley residents can expect a 17 percent increase to their water bills as soon as April of next year.

The notice of pending increases to water service came at a special Feb. 25 Paradise Valley Town Council meeting where elected leaders were given notice of EPCOR USA’s intention to seek seven rate increases within the Arizona communities the company serves.

The Arizona Corporation Commission holds final rule on the matter and the governing body should have a formal rate increase request from EPCOR USA sometime this week, officials say.
