Florence council, bond authority repairing relations

The local Industrial Development Authority lost $50,000 when the Town Council took no action on a bond issue earlier this year, and its reputation has suffered in the financial community, the council was told in a joint work session.

“The IDA is “unlike anything else the town does,” is independent from the town, and the council has only authority to appoint members, Deputy Town Manager and Town Clerk Lisa Garcia told the council.
