Sun City HOA touts home sales numbers

The median sales price of a Sun City home increased 11.4 percent in the last year, with the average listing for Sun City homes for sale for the week ending May 28 topping $146,000.

Those figures were highlighted this week in a release from the Sun City Home Owners Association.

As sales increase, SCHOA officials said they have become aware of more homes becoming rental properties. Statistics indicate approximately 10 percent of Sun City homes are being rented as well as approximately 4,500 homes being used as a secondary residence.
