Supreme Court taking up Medicaid challenge

MedicaidThe Arizona Supreme Court announced this morning that it will consider the appeal in Biggs v. Brewer, the challenge brought against the 2013 AHCCCS expansion by GOP lawmakers who opposed the legislation.

Yellow Sheet Report says the trial court ruled the legislators do not have standing to sue, but the appellate court reversed that, and said the lawsuit could proceed.

Both sides have 20 days from today to file supplemental briefs, and oral arguments will be scheduled in the near future.
