Swap of Mesa business park proposed for freeway fronting

General Plan land use classifications are usually designed to segregate compatible uses. Adjoining a freeway at a major arterial, Mesa has long shown the land east of Crismon Road at U.S. 60 as a business park.

Mesa 38 is a long sliver of a parcel fronting the Superstition Freeway northwest of the interchange. If Mesa approves the owner’s request, the 38-acre piece will be split in to 25 acres of 10 unit/acre Medium Density Residential and 13 acres of Community Commercial.
