Billboard co-owner accuses city of duping Glendale

A local business owner has accused Peoria of conspiring to keep Glendale from allowing billboards at Loop 101 and Bell Road so that they can put some near that location. Glendale City Council spent Tuesday’s workshop discussing the possibility of rescinding the denial of allowing those billboards.

The placement of the two billboards at Loop 101 and Bell Road was originally denied March 25 by Glendale City Council.

Mark Becker, owner of Becker Boards, recently brought to the attention of councilmembers the fact that the City of Peoria may have lied to Glendale about the prospects of placing billboards in the same area.
