Paradise Valley resident Jack Daniels has won his lawsuit against the city of Phoenix halting construction of an above-ground water line on the southern portion of Mummy Mountain due to the pipeline’s impact — both environmental and aesthetically.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge J. Richard Gama on Monday, Oct. 6 found the city of Phoenix does not possess an easement on Mummy Mountain and all work on the landmark must abide by Paradise Valley Hillside Development regulations.
Homes abutting and adjacent to Mummy Mountain are within the Town of Paradise Valley, but water service on the southern portion of the mountain is provided by Phoenix.
