Chandler looked across the country, but picked local experience with the appointment of Micah Miranda as director of economic development for the East Valley city.
Miranda starts Dec. 29 in the role formerly held by Christine Mackay — now economic development director for the city of Phoenix. He has been in the director’s role with the city of Maricopa since 2012.
“Chandler has a reputation of being an organization dedicated to excellence, and I’m looking forward to being part of that,” said Miranda. “It was obvious during the recruitment and interview process that the city is well-organized and very professional.”
